The kinds and distributions of inclusions in the surface of different types of JG4246 A revers before and after cleaning treatment were systematically analyzed. The results indicate that the Al

inclusions forming after the reaction with the shell are mainly on the surface of the revert before cleaning treatment
accounting for about 24%~25% of the area fraction. At the same time
there are a small amount of HfO

Ti-rich inclusions and Zr-and Hf-rich inclusions
while there are still a certain amount of Al

a small amount of Hf-rich inclusions and Zr-and Si-rich inclusions on the surface of the revert after cleaning treatment. After 100% cleaning treatment reverts were melted
and the molten steel with a lot of scum could not meet the demand for reuse of the reverts. It is necessary to further improve the cleanliness of the revert master alloy.
