Three-dimensional porous zinc with different pore structure was prepared by electrodeposition process with various deposition parameters. The preparation process of three-dimensional porous zinc and its electrochemical performance as anode of zinc ion battery were investigated. The electrochemical test results indicate that when the current density is fixed at 40 mA/cm
2
the three-dimensional porous zinc has relatively suitable impedance and corrosion rate in 2 mol/L ZnSO
4
electrolyte environment with the electrodeposition time of 10 min. When the amount of zinc deposited per unit area is maintained at 6.67 mA·h·cm
-2
different surface morphologies can be obtained by changing the current density.The cyclic test was carried out in a symmetrical cellpackage at 0.5 mA/cm
2
and the results reveal that the three-dimensional porous zinc electrode with lamellar surface deposited at 40 mA/cm
2
has lower overpotential and better cycling stability compared with pure zinc foil
where the amount and size of dendrites generated in the cycling process are smaller.
