The optimization of T651 heat treatment process for hot-rolled 7050 plate was investigated by means of OM
SEM
TEM and electronic universal testing machine.The fracture mechanism of the aging plate was analyzed and the optimized aging heat treatment process was presented.The results indicate that the second phase at the grain boundary of the plate are all basically dissolved into the aluminum matrix after the solution treatment at 475 ℃for 30 min with the satisfied solid solution effect.After the aging treatment at 130 ℃for 15 h
the mechanical properties of the plate reach the desirable value
