The effects of liquid die casting and semi-solid rheo-die casting on the fatigue behavior of ZL114 Aaluminum alloy parts were investigated. The results indicate that semi-solid rheo-die castings have better and more stable fatigue performance than traditional liquid die castings. The fatigue life of liquid die-casting parts is mainly affected by the size of holes. With increasing in the hole size
the fatigue life of the castings is decreased. The fatigue life of semi-solid die-casting parts is mainly affected by the density and proportional to the density. The semi-solid die-casting ZL114 Aaluminum alloy samples have a satisfied fatigue performance when the density is more than 2.62 g/cm3.At 70 MPa
the fatigue life can reach 107 cycles.Cracks of liquid die-casting parts are mainly initiated from gas holes while those of semi-solid die-casting parts tend to be initiated from multiple shrinkages porosity.
