This paper dealt with the sliding wear behavior of the SiCp reinforced aluminum matrix composites made by agitation casting method. The wear resistance of MMCs under dry sliding and lubricated sliding conditions was analysed carefully when the loading level was varied
the factors effecting the sliding behavior of MMCs were also discussed. The results show that the wear resistance of MMCs is better than that of base material regardless of the dry sliding or the lubricated sliding case
which is more conspicuous especially under high loading level.
